So you want to shoot film, huh? Well this workshop is definitely for you. Designed for the young photographers that want to shoot with film cameras, the old school photographers that need a refresher (hey, we all do, it’s been awhile), and for the film-curious — this workshop is designed for the experienced photographer and will cover the basics of film types and processes, loading and managing film, metering, polaroids, and all the little tips and tricks that we did back in the day. BYO film camera, or let us know if you need a loaner for the workshop.
This workshop will be 3-4 hours in the studio (both hands on & lecture style), and then 2 hours out in the world playing. Limited quantities of film will be provided, and all film can be processed by Watt Second after the workshop for free. Space is limited. — $350
This is a 2-3 hour workshop with hands-on and panel components. The hands-on portion covers basics like proper grip setup & use, packing & moving efficiency, cord & cable management, on-set safety, setup & teardown, etc. The panel is made up of professional commercial and advertising photographers, and will talk about etiquette on-set, workflow preferences, types of work and needs, and of course lots of Q&A. This is a good workshop for assistants new & old… you never know what you’ll pick up! Beers and social time afterwards.

This is a standing creative industry happy hour / taco time / freelancer socialization. The first Tuesday of every month, we’ll meet up just down the block from our studio at the gorgeously comfy Black Stack Brewing for beers and tacos catered by Los Ocampo.
